Vanilla Latte (Caffeine Free)

Craving something to curb your coffee cravings during a coffeine detox?

My "go to" during any cleanse or period where I am cutting out coffee is always this faux vanilla latte. It was during my raw vegan experience a few years back when I discovered a wonderful latte alternative. At the time, I was constantly playing around in the kitchen, trying to make replicas of my favourite staples only using the healthiest ingredients.


This latte will make your taste buds sing!


Servings: 3 Cups


Ingredients:


  • Approx. 5 Pitted Dates

  • 1 Handful of Cashews

  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil 3 Cups Boiling Water

  • Dash of Cinnamon

  • Pinch of Salt


Instructions:


1. Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender for 5 minutes. (This will create the nice "latte" foam on the top)

2. Taste and add any extra dates for more sweetness or cashews if you'd like a creamier and thicker consistency.
